Lost track of what week of summer we're in...

One of the tell-tale signs that Omie is in town visiting is Aubs wearing her lipstick!

We had a great visit to Busch Gardens...enjoying the sky ride.

One of our new hobbies is building with Lego's.

1st time bowling...hated shoes (she's such a girl) but loved the sport!

Just Hysterical!

It was bedtime and of course Aubrey was DYING of thirst!!! She kept asking me for "just a small sip" of water and I kept denying her request. 1) it was bedtime and 2) I didn't want her wetting the bed (even though she hasn't done that in months, knock on wood). After her fourth attempt, she said she had to go potty. I told her ok. When she came out, her exact words were, "Mom, I was going to reach my head under the faucet and get some water but you told me no water so I didn't." I PRAISED her for being so honest and obedient. And then she did the FUNNIEST thing. She said, "But my mouth is SO DRY!" and she stood there for at least 1 whole minute with her mouth gaping open. I laughed so hard I had an immense coughing fit. I thought about letting her have that sip in reward for her being a good girl, but I still didn't!

Thank you Lord for my beautiful, inside and out, daughter! She is funny, smart, honest, and obedient with a heart after You! May she continue to follow after Your leading and give You all the glory :)

Word exchanges

When I was little I called the telephone a "phonacone" and the refrigerator a "friserfrator".

Aubs has two cute exchanges as well. "mistachios" for pistachios and "ibpotion" for ibuprofen. :)

Third Week of Summer

This is our 1st craft of the summer-a puzzle!

6 pictures, created by the very talented and artistic Aubrey, are cut into 9 squares...

...glued onto 2" wooden cubes...

...this one is a dinosaur...

...to create a puzzle...

...in which you manipulate the blocks to reform the picture. 

I've only had this craft for FIVE years!!! My mother first gave it to me when Aubs was born with the intent of putting pictures of her on it. She had her's done month 1 of Aubrey's life

I always say, better late than never!!!
