SUMMER!!!!

Yes, it is that time of the year again when I get to spend all day, everyday with my most favorite person-Aubrey Jo from Kokimo! :) To celebrate my LAST day of 2nd grade (because I get to teach KINDERGARTEN next year) and Aubrey's LAST day of preschool, we celebrated by eating dinner at her favorite place-MEXICAN-and by eating fried ice cream first!

And no, I won't be Aubrey's teacher next year in K, but she will be just down the hall and that is great for this mama :)

Me too...

My wusband took Aubrey to Minnesota for TWO WEEKS! Ugh! If you are thinking that's a LONG time for a mom to be away from her daughter, you are RIGHT! A week into it, she told me over the phone that she was ready to be at her real home. 

(I was ready for you to be home too, bugaboo, more than you know....)

Finally, Monday night arrived, and at 11:00 p.m. her plane landed. I was extremely jubilant to pick her up and hug her and kiss her and love on her. While we drove home, she knew it was close to midnight and at that hour, it would be morning. She kept telling me to drive home fast because it was going to be morning soon, and we had to go to sleep! 

(I was ready to be home and go to sleep too, bugaboo, more than you know...)

At last we made it home and snuggled into bed together. Just as she drifted off to sleep, she said, "I really missed you mommy."
